The Essex Mark Grand Auction, held at Saxon Hall on Sunday, proved to be a truly magnificent event — one that perfectly captured the spirit of generosity, fellowship, and fun that defines our Mark family.
With around a hundred enthusiastic attendees gathered for the occasion, the atmosphere was electric from the very start. More than a hundred lots went under the hammer, ranging from unique memorabilia and fine wines to special experiences and dining vouchers. The bidding was lively, good-humoured, and often spirited, as friendly competition took hold across the room. By the end of the afternoon, the auction had raised in excess of £10,000 — a remarkable achievement and a testament to the commitment and kindness of everyone involved. There were plenty of standout moments. Two £100 vouchers for Vita Bella Italian Restaurant became the talk of the night when both sold for well above their face value. This was a clear reflection of the enthusiasm and goodwill that filled the room — bidders were not just competing for prizes but contributing to a cause they genuinely care about. |
