Race Night 22
in aid of the
MBF Festival 2030
After many months of planning, the first of hopefully many fund-raising Race Nights took place on Friday 18th November 2022 at Saxon Hall, Southend and was a huge success. With over 80 people in attendance being many masonic brethren and accompanied by other family and friends, the event was enjoyed by all and raised in excess of £1,500 for the Festival 2030. The event was organised by members of the Festival 2030 Committee, and they were keen to get this fund raising project off to a good start.
It is now planned to hold at least two Race Nights per year in different parts of the Essex Province and run by different Mark Lodges. Various Masonic Centres are being looked at as to the suitability to hold an event and currently 2023 should see two Race Nights with one at Hutton and one at Frinton.
It is hoped that in time a repeat of successful Race Night events will be held at the same venues in future years. The support and generosity shown by many at the first Race Night at Saxon Hall is hopefully the start of what will be a fun journey around Essex in support of the Festival 2030.
