The Ark "Berths" at George Graveley Lodge
Mind you it nearly didn’t happen, when the plastic transport drawer slid open in the car park and the contents spilled out!
Bubble wrap saved the day.
During the RAM Meeting, we had a specific agenda item on the Summons for the handover. We used a Script to explain the responsibilities for receiving the Ark and taking care of it
W. Bro. Roy Kaye was on hand to oversee the whole operation on behalf of the Provincial Executive. The whole exercise being done to promote Visiting and Friendship within the Province and to raise funds by donations towards the 2030 Festival.
The Collection Box was passed round at the Festive Board. And after members of the Lodge decided that proceeds of the Raffle should be included, a total of £110 was raised.
So, St. Nicholas Lodge had the Travelling Ark for a whole week and kept it safe without loosing it!
